NMCHEA's Educational Talent Search (ETS) Project provides assistance for 6th through 12th grade students to complete high school and prepare them to enter the college of their choice.

Who Can Benefit From the ETS Project?
The ETS Project offers services to students who are residents of Calhoun, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Clay, Kemper, Lee, Lowndes, Monroe, Noxubee, Neshoba, Oktibbeha, Pontotoc, Union, Webster, and Winston counties.
Where Will The Services Be Offered To My Son Or Daughter?
In the middle/high school that your son or daughter attends.
Who Is Eligible For The Services?

Any student who lives or attends school in the target counties who meet low-income criteria and who would be the first in the family to complete college

Any student who resides or attends school in the target counties and has the potential to complete high school and enroll in a college of his/her choice |

How Can The ETS Project Help My Son/Daughter?

By providing tutorial services in the areas of English, Mathematics, Communications (reading and writing), the Sciences, and other academic disciplines in order to assist your son or daughter in completing high school with success

By providing parent empowerment workshops, training to promote parent involvement, and helping parents to help students succeed

By encouraging and assisting your son or daughter to continue their education at a selected college or university. We will help the student select and complete college or university admissions, housing, and financial aid applications

By providing financial aid information for selected college or university

By assisting your son or daughter in selecting a career and relating this choice to furthering his/her education based on the student's interests and academic potential
What Does A Parent Have To Do In Order For His/Her Son/Daughter To Benefit From Educational Talent Search?

Talk to the high school counselor at the school your son/daughter attends, or contact NMCHEA and ask about the Educational Talent Search Project

Encourage and assist your son/daughter in completing the Educational Talent Search application

Return the Educational Talent Search application to the school counselor or NMCHEA's Educational Talent Search Project
Are There Any Costs To My Son Or Daughter?
There is no cost to the parent/guardian.
How Long Will The ETS Project Be Offered In The School Districts?
Through 2007.
