RAPID ENHANCEMENT APPROACH

NMCHEA presents innovation in teacher education.  The Rapid Enhancement Process not only allows a teacher to guide the student to rapid ownership of information but permits true-life recall of a learned process as a life-long- entity.

NMCHEA has developed a workshop that presents real-time applications that teachers, at any juncture of their professional development, may use immediately.  Your instructors can, in fact, begin using workshop principles the very next school day.  We present concrete examples for interpolation and use in such areas or disciplines as elementary grades, English, history, etc.

All workshops will be directed by presenters who have actually used these techniques and know just how well the Rapid Enhancement Process works.

The WORKSHOP SEGMENTS and titles are as follows:

    ◦   Interrelated Math (Social Studies, Reading, etc.)

    ◦   Real Time Applications (K-12)

    ◦   Cooperative Math (Laboratory Relations)

    ◦   The use of Math in Teaching Critical Thinking

NMCHEA offers two workshops that received the highest possible evaluation from everyone in attendance at the close of our last sessions.

The fist phase in the two workshop series is Reading to Learn with specific performance examples based on strategies of learning.  When one talks of learning styles, one is really talking about teaching strategies.

Critical thought, vocabulary, word connotation, and reading becomes a process through attendance of this workshop.

These techniques not only work, they are in fact, discipline builders.  Each technique is designed to aid the individual student in reading, understanding and correct response.

The second phase in this workshop series is Development of High Order Thinking Skills with real time examples just as they came from the classroom.

Specifically we propose to present the Rapid Enhancement Process that not only allows a teacher to guide the student to rapid ownership of information but permits true-life recall of a learned process as a life-long entity.  We teach techniques that lead to the association of a progressive flow of words which enhance a mental picture.  When these techniques are used with students who learned to read by selecting key words instead of reading each word progressively, the teacher will see a significant improvement within a short time.

 

A conscientious decision is made to change from learning to read to reading to learn.  Scores will improve dramatically.
